    Just finished packing for tomorrow.
Took the NSR for a spin just to check everythings ok and it was only running on 1 pot.
You can imagine my language but after getting back to the shed and having a scratch around I found a connection had come off the bottom coil.
Anyway all fixed and ready to go.
I now remember how it feels to be 6 on Xmas Eve again!

Im working on some videos now mate.... I know I havent been on muct but heard from a guy at work that the track day was on and free entry and by luck had my gopros and handy cam(low quality) in the ute...

I was only there for one session and there was a crash on the final corner so they called an early lunch.. and seeing as I had been awake since 1 am I decided to call it a day and have a kip.. turns out im 15 mins away from QR.. but give me some time to get a video together..

Well, here is my update, we arrived a tad late as there was a massive fog around Ipswich which slowed us up a bit, we got pit bay 36 of 40. I headed up to sign in and saw Brizfoz in pit bay 3, apparently the excitement fairy woke him up at 3am , so he was nice and early.

The taxi aka CBR250RR passed scrutinizing and the first run was called on the PA, I fired up the Honda and headed out, half way down the back straight the old girl conked out then came back to life... a bit weird I thought then into the last corner she died again... I coasted off the track into the pits and Phil came running over asking what was up.... I wasn't sure, then the light bulb moment, I reached down and turned the fuel tap on  hit the starter and it was game on.

I felt a heap more confident this time round and started working on different lines and experimenting with gears , I even made a few passes :)

During the lunch break I had to whip the belly pan off and adjust my clutch cable as it had come loose, easy fix.

Great to see Tim and Brisfox there, there were a few 250's at the track including a CBR250RR, NSR250R, Kwakka EX250 and a Honda Moto3 GP bike which was insane, about 52hp and weighed in at 80kg, and boy could he ride it.

In Summary, I rode a shade over 150kms on the track and had a awesome time, big thanks to Phil for being my Pit Manager, transport logistics and everything else, thanks to my Son who came along and managed to spend a lot of my money with very little to show for it. I posted a pic on my rear tyre, that's 2 track days old and the Sava MC50's are doing the job, plenty of grip and very little wear.

Track Days are quite honestly the most fun you can have with your clothes on, Champion Ride Days really know how to do it. I encourage you all, pop your track day cherry, its loads of fun !!!
    Cheers

Ok heres my up date. Arrived at about 7.30 this morning after waking at 4 am, just could not sleep.
Thick fog all the way from brisbane ( reminded me of being back in UK only not freezing fog).
Finally found the pits and the track which I could not see from the pit wall!
Anyway after unloading the bike I like Chris had my BLOND moment......forgot the key to the NSR.
Rang my wife( I owe her Sav Blanc for a year) and asked her ever so nicely would she like to come to the track a little earlier than she had planed.
Anyway all went good when she arrived with the key at 8.45 am.
Met some brilliant people yet again on some really amazing bikes and yes Chris that Moto 3 Honda wieghing in at 80 kg was trick.
My riding went from very stiff and jittery to quite smooth and fluid by session 4 , my corner speed and braking all coming back after all these years.
Low point or high point of the day( Im half glass full, especially when its Guiness) was Locking the NSR half way down the back straight at about 140ish but managing to catch it before anything really went pear shaped.
I put it down to just another 2 stroke experience.

I let you all know the cause of the seizure once I pull her to bits....................................again.

    God I love bikes.

Damn that's a shame Brisfox. The bike looks great in the pit photos. Hope it's just the top end.

    well if thats the case..........

if your chasing tyre warmers, have a look at these. slightly cheaper than hot hoops and the likes but just as good. im running them for my 250 and cant fault them at all. you can pay a little more and get duel settings but i think for a 250 its not warrented and these work really well.

We have to plan the next track day, I vote Lakeside or Morgan Park , if we get 6 or more to Lakeside we can get a group discount, not sure about MP.
