For now this is a placeholder - each element in the rebuild will be given it's own sticky post and a summary of each part posted here

Crankshaft main journal and conrod shells

Crankshaft main journal shells from Yamaha are NLA - this problems looks to have been solved

Conrod bearing shells - some are available, but not enough and there is a 10-12 week lead time - alternative(s) are possibly available

Possible solution(s) to the issue with rod journals #1 & #4 starving under high load
    checking the oil feed restrictors
chamfering the crankshaft oil feed holes
measuring and increasing the oil pressure relief with a shim washer

Curing the curse of the cursed carburetors so that they don't wear the emulsion tubes

    Re-racking CBR250rr MC22 carburetors to fit the FZR250r
This will include the various calculations to make valid comparison between Mikuni and Keihin Main jets as the same numbers between brands refer to different sized jets.

Will also do a comparison of the needles and their tapers for comparing the fueling through the slide lift range.

Carb boots will either have to be modified or an amalgam of both CBR250rr carb boots at the carb mated onto the FZR250 boots at the cylinder head end.

The optimist in me says it's doable

Will also try and re-rack a set of ZXR250 carbs as preliminary assessment also suggests these can be re-racked to suit.

The ZXR250 front end transplant with the adaptation of the OEM FZR250 front wheel to keep the look consistent

Brake caliper adapter plates to put some decent calipers onto the ZXR250 forks for decent braking - no point improving the front end at the expense of the braking IMO

Yamaha R6 rear shock conversion onto a 3LN1 - dog bone length for the 3LN1 and the different dogbone length for the 3LN3/5/6/7.
