    Hi everyone!

I have just started my first project on this old bandit bike and my first step of action is to re-wire the circuitry (the old installation was very bad with lots of power wires protruding everywhere and shorted signals).
I have a basic understanding of how everything is to come together, but with no wiring diagram, it is very difficult to piece things together. I found the wiring diagram for the bandit GSF1200 and, with a few differences, do you think that it is a good option to base my wiring off of?
Furthermore, I have some trouble understanding the CDI wiring:

1, 2, 5, 6 are clear enough, but what is signal coil(+) and signal coil(-)?

    Thanks to everyone in advance!

    Yordan

Hi Yoddan. I'm in the process of scanning the bandit workshop manual and posting it in the download section for premium members. Only downside is it is in Japanese. Translation might be a way off time wise but you will be able to use a translate app on your phone.
It can help us to help to know which model your bandit is as there are two different hp versions of the gj47a of the bandit and the gj77a version (variable valve) isn't worth referring to if you have the first variant.
With a bit of luck you might have a white sticker near the top battery plate to tell you which model you have. If not, get the premium membership and download the spare parts file and you can use the frame number (on the neck of the steering stem fame, not to import vin) to narrow down which one you have.
The 45hp and 40hp have different cdi and timing disc? (Help needed for the right term) located on the right of the motor. So you need to confirm which one is yours first before going ahead.

Use Google translate on your web browser and surf through this website to get you going.

I just noticed you have the 89 model.the 45hp version
Your valves, cdi, timing disc and cams will be different from the 40hp models so be careful which parts you buy.
The buyee site sells second hand parts if yours is dead but make sure you get the right one ( use the pics on the site to confirm it's the part number ending in 00.
I promise to have the manual up loaded by the weekend for you.
