Desperately looking for a shop manual for this engine, either a hard copy, disc, or download.
Also, I could use a spare cylinder head, standard preferred or variable cam. Building this
for the Bonneville Salt Flats next year. Please let me know if you can help.
    Thanks in advance.

Big Thank You to the MECHANIC for your help. What I need now is a non variable can GSF 250 cylinder head.
The one I got had a dropped valve and made a mess. I am in the USA, will prepay the shipping. I couldn't see a way to post
on the forum page. If you can help me find a head, I'll send you $100.00 USD for your efforts. I can't move forward
    without that head.

Gary, I cannot offer any assistance on the cylinder head - you're in the right place to find one

However it looks like you're doing a full rebuild, if you are, is there any chance you could take a measurement of the conrod eye to eye length and the details of the conrod bolts - OAL - [overall length] - under head length, thread length and thread pitch, shank length and the diameter of the shank without thread, outer diameter of the head

    vernier calipers are fine
