A friend (who has now moved away) left this with me about 18 months ago. I wasn't very interested in it but agreed to do bits as/when I had time.
The engine was in a box as his son had been flogging it around a paddock until it stopped years ago, and they took engine out only to discover it had done a big end bearing, and had then left it in the back of a leaky shed. The crank had a fair bit of rust but was able to save it after splitting and giving it a good blasting. A new rod kit and back together and trued. The gears were good still sitting in oil and after a good clean it all went back together ok. The frame blasted and painted, plastics repaired and painted. New seat cover and I just made a whole new wiring harness as the old had been bodgyed beyond help. The carb was full of crud (of course) and new airfilter fitted. The steering head and swing arm bearings renewed, new fork seal, oil and gaitors, cables, handgrips, etc, etc. Turned out pretty good in the end.
