    Hi guys

I just bought a Megelli 250r, but got some problem on starting.

When I mount the bike and hold the clutch then press the start bottom, my bike just give me 1~3 sound like igniting but after that, problem comes, my bike seems restart, the tachometer rise from zero to top then going back, every thing on screen shining then go out. Everything just happens like turn the key to ON position.

can somebody tell me what was going on about my bike? I wondering its maybe because of the cold weather.

    thx

Sounds like an electrical issue to me. Have you tested your battery? I'd start with that.

    Welcome anfield.
Do you have full power at the battery (12 volts)?
Sounds like a bad connection somewhere, and when you put power through the connection it drops out giving no power. Check all connections from the battery to solenoid to main fuse to switch are clean and tight. Get yourself a can of contact cleaner and give them all a spray. Good luck.

Actually come to think of it after reading Murdo's post I have seen this before, in a car though. Bad connection between the battery terminals and battery. Take them off. give them a good clean out (pouring boiling water on them would work) then add some petroleum jelly to increase conductivity. Reconnect and give it a go...

I agree with Stu, I think you may have a battery that's failing

if your battery stuffs put in a motobatt and to save hassles put a positive and negative lead to terminals so a charger can be connected without taking the tank off. if that does not help give me a pm and i will contact a former employee of the importer..most bike shops have them for around 12 bucks. clean connections with contact cleaner[pull apart, spray and re assemble]
