hit up the bank a/c and bought a 30lt sonic cleaner ,have a 0.9lt one bought yrs ago but due to size hardly ever used it and with water only then , now need a crash course on using the new one .. ie what addatives to use for what jobs to help with the cleaning (perferibly ones i can get out of the hardwear store) as understand some will affect rubber etc first test subject will be a set of carbs off a 1998 zzxr250 (was lucky enough to pick up a complete engine but for some reason the carbs were full of water though the bores were dry) .. it will be great being able to put the whole bank of carbs in unlike my small one , the small one had to do twice , turning the single carb upside down on 2nd run as whole carb wouldnt fit in at once

thanks grey ,with my small one tested it out yrs ago with a old ducati 250 carb that had been rattling around in boxs for 30 yrs , gave it a 2 min blast with a top loader sand blaster using bi carb from super market then into the sonic cleaner with a dash of detergent .. was amazed at the results .. would have been there a day with a tooth brush to get same results ...intresting reading ,, looks like the detergent is safest method ...the idea of flamibles sounds dodgy but vinager sounds safe enough .. might just stick with them .. what about the built up varnish from our crap fuel would these work or need some thing stronger to add to the water
