Another good reason why my pet hate in the motorcycling world is the patched wankers ..... just gives being a "motorcyclist" a bad rap.

Obviously the main aim of all this is to get on top of the "gangs" , but of course it will give the coppers more licence to jump on anyone they please ..... even though its really always been like that since I was biking back in the 70s on the streets of Sydney.
Id like a dollar for every time I was told : step off the bike please sir!

I don't in any way support these laws purely because I believe in basic civil liberties and freedom of association, but I think there needs to be a little perspective here. These laws don't target motorcyclists at all - they pertain to members of what the government considers to be a criminal organisation. There is a specific list of clubs and associations (26 in fact including the major bikie clubs) that the government considers to be criminal organisations. If three or more people that are members or associates of one of the organisations on this list, are found to be together in a public place, then the laws come into effect. This means they could be arrested riding bikes, driving cars, on public transport or in a public place such as a restaurant or a public bar. The vast majority of road users aren't subject to these laws at all. Unless you are a member or associate of one of the 26 listed criminal organisations you really have nothing at all to worry about.

Country pubs feel the pinch as weekend bike riders stay away because of war on bikie gangs

COUNTRY pubs and cafes on scenic routes around Queensland say they have become the unintended victims of the Newman Government’s war on outlaw motorcycle gangs.
Businesses that once attracted scores of motorbike enthusiasts each weekend say they have been deserted by the weekend rider, leaving no choice but to cut back on staff and supply orders.

These laws are a total joke. If anyone thinks that they won't be abused and used against innocents then I have some swamp facing property to sell you. If we're not careful we will end up like the police state in the USA, where they shoot first and ask questions later. They will try and implement this Australia wide...

Tread carefully because the VLAD laws in no way target just motorcyclists. They affect anyone & everyone in QLD, motorcycle or not!

Yeah the G20.. where globalists tell us what to do and how to exploit our country more (not to our benefit)...... Apparently $100M was spent on security...
