G'day Guys, I am now at the stage where I would like to paint the engine on the GSX250, my plan is to take all of the covers and rocker head off and sandblast them and then paint them, I dont think I want to be taking the head off the block as it looks quite complex (I have not had much experience with engines) Any advice on what the best way to tackle this job? I didnt want to just paint over everything as I think it looks crap, i suppose I am asking the impossible, a premium looking finish without dismantling the whole engine.. Would it be a case of taking off what I can and then masking the block and head where needed and doing it that way Any info would be great guys Thanks
OK so after a couple of beers I have a plan of attack I will keep you posted but please if you have any words of wisdom please let me know
Morning all. Edward here on the forum painted his complete engine , you could ask him what he did. The end product looked really good. Had my engine fully rebuilt so
Had my engine painted as you may remember , but it was apart for the rebuild. All of the cases / barrel / head etc where taken back to bare metal.
