After a recent Observed Ride it was suggested that I offer something of an introduction to the courses that I run, more of an assessment of somebodies current riding standard with a written report but no actual coaching on improvements, unless there is something dangerous of course. The cost of $100 for a 2 hour session was thought to be reasonable, during which time film footage is taken as reference point for my report and the cost of this session is redeemable from either Full of Half day courses. This footage would also be used as the intial part of the DVD presented as part of a course, being the basis from which coaching and advice is given. Thoughts on providing a DVD of the ride along with the report for the riders reference would be appreciated. I would like to canvas members thoughts on this, if you can either post some feedback or send me an email at info@advancedroadcrafttechniques.com I would be very grateful Details fo the courses and riding tips, contact details for local government departments are all available on the website, www.advancedroadcrafttechniques.com If you currently ride with a group of friends or club and would like to arrange to have me do a presentation for you discussing the advantages of Advanced Training I would be happy to meet somewhere and conduct an hour long session of an evening free of charge or obligation. Your thoughts on this type of service would also be very welcome. Looking forward to hearing from you all, Mark
Hey Mark Sounds like a great idea, after watching the video of our ride in Feb, It really opened up my eyes to the lines I was choosing and my riding position. These are items I have been working on. In my opinion, the footage is well worth the $100. I think the challenge will be in providing an assessment on a riding standard verses providing actual feedback in the form of coaching. thanks Chris
Hey Chris, You hit the nail on the head, I was thinking of a reletively plain DVD, title screen and credits, no advice or comments, the written report would be a list of those areas I think rider could improve upon. Appreciate your thoughts, Mark
