I picked up my bike a few days ago on Friday 25th Janurary 2013, and put 81 kilometers up on it in the city and didnt get above 4th gear, did that deliberately to make the engine do some work.

On Australia Day, the 26th i headed to Cairns from Townsville. While in Cairns i went up and down the Kuranda Range and the Gillies Highway, lots of tight twisty road and the 300 took it all in its stride. It really needs a gel seat as im sure under the seat is concrete and nothing else. I must confess my backside got incredibly sore on the highway for the journey there, however, there is plenty of room to stretch out even for someone like me who is 178 centimeters tall. Im truely stunned at how comfortable the bike is on a half decent sized trip like this and if your a rookie or experienced rider, this bike is a great bike for travelling solo with. I dont think i would go putting a pillion on for distance riding, but solo, not a problem with some extra gear on the bike, its fine.

This is an awesome bike, i love riding it, and look forward to keeping it for many years to come and putting many more thousands of kilometers on it

have almost 1200 kilometers on the clock, about to put up another 1000 kilometers or so in the next 2 days on it as well

power commander 5 has arrived at dealer, it gets fitted wednesday march 6th by them as it is part of my sale of my new bike

the ventura rack is now fitted so fingers crossed my back doesnt kill me this time from carying  a back pack.

this bike is an awesome unit for the price. a few days ago it was bucketing down rain on my way home, so i found a quiet street and did 60 kmph, pulled the clutch and hard on the front/rear brakes. i could feel abs working well and bike continued straight as an arrow.
awesome stuff the abs on this bike.every bit as good if not better then my k1200rs i had over 10 years ago
