I've had the VJF for about 5 months now and other than a few niggles [had rear brake light die on me which was replaced under warranty] gotta say the bike hasn't skipped a beat. I put bar end mirrors because it gets boring looking at my elbows. Had to drill them out to fit as the bolts from the standard bar ends were massive. Maybe it increased vibration at the handles a little but not by much.

Used it for the MOST [P's test] and came through good. Thinking about popping the screaming demon exhaust on it, will post pics once I hook it up.

Only issue is because it isn't so popular parts are hard to come by. If anyone has found a good source for parts feel free to post.

Hey woltard, welcome to the forum, those mirrors look sweet, I'm yet to meet a vjf250 owner who isn't wrapped in their bike ;)

    Take it easy

Thanks for the replies. Yeah My bro had spare rizoma's so hooked them on. Also cleaned the chain today. Was wondering what you guys use. Used WD40 to clean first then some Belray lube.  Now she's all cleaned up hoping the weather stays clear for the weekend  :)

I would just use kerosene on the chain but I consider WD40 good for pretty much anything.

My old Triumph manual says  clean with paraffin for everything! .... which is kero in the UK

Heres a brief discussion on lubes ....

New Screaming Demon Can came in. Had to chop the pipe a bit to make it fit but overall pretty happy with it. Definitely a huge improvement in sound. I took a quick clip, will try to get another clip when I can open it up a bit. I think it ended up matching the bike quite nicely.
