    Proud new owner of a reasonably well looked after 1985 CBX250RS. Haven't been able to find a workshop manual or wiring diagram anywhere on the interweb. Have started a refurb job - would anyone in the group be able to help?

    Недавно приобрёл CBX 250 S в потрёпанном состоянии. Но на ходу. За зиму планирую его перебрать. В сентябре успел пару раз прокатиться на нём . Очень резвый мотоцикл!)))

    I have used it quite a bit and seems to work better than the usual google translate or other sites. Especially with "unique" languages like Catalan and Russian.

    Just in case you ever needed a pretty reliable translation service for your business, one of my best friends is from Barcelona (catalan native speaker) and she is very impressed with how well it performs.

    have one in the shed as well with no spark , been there for yrs ..u know one of those projects never got around to it ,,one day though....as murdo said have a look in the resourses and hope u get yours finished quicker than mine

    Немного привожу свой cbx в порядок. Поменял покрышки, подшипники переднего колеса. Поставил фару, поворотники родные вместо китайских. Поменял топливный кран, топливный фильтр. Восстановил тросы газа. В мотосервисе мне заменили сальники передней вилки и масло в ней. Но из-за старости перя вилки имеют гнезда на поверхности. И при работе подвески масло вытекает из вилки. В нашей стране этот мотоцикл – большая редкость. С запчастями тоже туго. У меня была идея поставить перья вилки от Ямахи ybr125. Там перья такого же диаметра. Или можете посоветовать вилку от других моделей Хонды?
    И ещё вопрос: моему мотоциклу пока удалось разогнать до 124 км.в час. А сколько он должен ехать в хорошем состоянии? IMG_20240812_214757.jpg

    its weird seeing your own name and not being responsible for any posts made by it... lol.


    honda is fairly standard on electrical systems. you can pretty well much use any diagram, theyre all much the same... until they start throwing EFI and ABS and quickshifters and gear indicators on... they havent done so for the cbx250, afaik... so, other than a few little bits here and there...

    try the regular cb250?

    iirc, green/orange for indicators, brown for parking light, red for brake light, black for ground, dark blue/white for high/low beams, pale green for neutral, various others... look confusing, they really arent. engage thinking cap? theres not much on these bikes, theyre very simple.

    does it have electrical problems? get a multimeter. run through all the plugs, connectors... wriggle, insert, remove a few times... the odd spade terminal and bullet connector likes to be "squish" a bit to ensure they bite onto the lugs... ensure things like coil mounts and any earth straps between frame and engine are clean, secure...

    if it doesnt have any electrical issues.. whats the problem?

    as for the cyrillic...what gives?

    im not even going to bother with reverse translating that to see if it makes sense ;P

    you can get forks rechromed. look for "hydraulic cylinder repair" shops... be warned, it may cost you... but so would a decent set of forks that fits... and once you deal with brake mounts and things like that... rechroming is the best option.

    unless you can deal with replacing the triple clamps as well, and that again, requires searching through lots of different models to find the same bearing sizes, shaft lengths... or getting a shop to modify them to fit your headset... installing a new steering tube...

    когда я захожу на русский сайт, я трачу время на перевод своих сообщений на русский, так как этот язык используется на этом сайте. это делает его гораздо более удобным для пользователя... они с большей вероятностью ответят. если я захожу на японский сайт, опять же, я перевожу на японский. это английский сайт.... вместо того, чтобы полагаться на то, что читатели будут использовать переводчик, вы должны использовать его сами. вы тот, кто отправляет запрос, вы тот, кто должен сделать свои сообщения читаемыми для большинства пользователей. большинство из нас не могут беспокоиться об этом, и это снижает ваши шансы получить ответ. затем возникает проблема неправильного перевода некоторых слов... я понятия не имею, что означает термин "перья" по отношению к мотоциклу. он теряется при переводе. попробуйте другое слово. это либо сам слайдер, либо защитные резиновые сильфоны вокруг слайдера... не совсем уверен. также всегда полезно дважды проверить, имеет ли перевод смысл, и вернуться и выбрать альтернативные слова, если это не так... "слайдер" переведено правильно. тогда как правильный термин для этой части вилки переведен неправильно... поэтому я не буду его использовать, так как результат довольно неоднозначный... тогда как "слайдер" имеет смысл, я полагаю. Написание этого поста заняло у меня 20 минут. Мне пришлось редактировать его несколько раз, дважды проверять разные слова, пробовать разные синтаксисы... Я немного знаю русский, так как имею дело с паспортами электронных ламп на кириллице, но я далек от "свободного владения". Я знаю важные слова, связанные с электронными лампами. катод. анод. ограничивающие факторы. большинство людей не будут тратить свое время. не пытаюсь быть грубым, это для вашего же блага.
