Hello, I am new to this forum. Im also a female who has just bought her first road bike which is a Hunter Spyder. I have a slight problem which is I am a short person. I can reach the gear foot control but I do how ever have to sit right forward which isnt very comfortable. I am wondering if there is options for me and i have been reading about Reduced Reach Control Kits for short people but can only find them to suit harley davidsons. PLEASE tell me there is some form of option for me ? Cheers

    Hi FeeFee
Welcome to the forum, am certain a solution will be found for your controls. As for your option of cement boots, was under the impression that was the field of not so nice men of Italian heritage living in New York??? Honestly think we will get a solution for you. Again Welcome on board.:thumb_ups: Phil

Hi FeeFee, ride looks good. Is there another Hunter model that has the pegs and controls in the more 'normal' position that you maybe able to fit?

I have no idea Murdo.? I know not alot about the bikes, i bought this cos i loved the look of it, and it has very low Kms and was a steal of a price. When u say " normal position " are u saying these are not in the normal position on this bike or?? Im a newbie, heck been riding dirt bikes all my life lol

I meant the normal position similar to a dirt bike, ie beside the engine.

Oh, i havent seen any no? They all look same position. Ive scoured google but not found anything except the Reach Control Kit, but can only find for H-Davidsons. Theres gotta be a way...surely i aint the only person with this problem.

Bit far from New South. Suggest that someone with a bit of engineering skill could use the controls you have and shorten them to bring them closer to the seat as per the Hardley ones listed above. This may involve making a bracket to mount the pegs and levers, but would be worth the trouble to get a comfortable ride. Perhaps a chopper shop may be able to help you. :) For the chop I am building I have the controls in the standard position beside the engine so my knees are bent as having my right knee straight is a real pain. :(

    Hi Fee Fee,
Wow that bike is in great nick for an 06. Our newer models actually have the controls set back a little further. The new cantilevered control set isn't retro-fittable without some welding. However another option thats quick and easy might work for you. Its called a Reach seat, and shifts your bum about 3" forward. Have a look here on our website,
    http://www.huntermotorcycles.com.au/index.php/hunter-models/accessories . They retail for $129.

    Welcome FeeFee.
Am fairly new to this site myself but have only had positive experiences.
Might see you on the streets of Perth once you get your levers (or boots) sorted.
