Oh it was pinched? We wait with baited breath to see what happens next. I am going to do diaphragms this year. In both Viton and NBR. Keep getting interrupted by people wanting carb kits for their model of bike. Also a bit buried in my titanium rear Brembo caliper brackets at the moment. Eating all my money. Exquisitely beautiful though and obscenely light, if I do say so myself. Is that the correct place for the spring you have next to the choke cable fitting?
Just curious Mr Grey.......what paint have you used??? cover looks awesome.....shame about the gasket!!
Same as Chris has been using ..... White Knight! Not sure how it will go with a bit of hot oil behind it but I guess Ill find out soon enough !
Diaphragm was pinched .... slide seems ok now just using a finger push Choke spring is right as far as I can tell ... 3LN6 carbs have a raised bar there as a stop. @maelstrom ..... floats sit in place nicely with the larger Viton o rings Installed new float needles also Sadly new tubes and needles aren't in the budget so not expecting too much when she gets running again. Installed a quick release fuel connector for easier tank removal .... even has Viton o rings in it! Just need to buy a new battery , get the clutch in and put in some Delo and hope the bastard goes.
Hopefully yes .... a bit earlier even so I can get it out onto the Moore Creek test track a few times
Looking good Mr Grey. How about the quick connect fuel line thingies, got a link, might get one of those. So the larger o-ring just sit in there ok? Hard to believe they as they are so much bigger than the standard size.
Yea just 1 good push and it sat in there nicely Connector looks good ... test will be when the fuel flows of course http://thirdgear.com.au/fuel-line-fast-connector/
New plates are in and seems to be operating correctly but I cant select any gears Its in gear and when u pull the clutch u can turn the rear wheel but gear lever just goes up and down but does nothing. Its still on the stand and theres no oil in it but surely I should still be able to click it into neutral
Sounds like something is amiss with the selector pawl on the drum. Clutch cover off again by the sounds of that
Grey Has the selector gone back in the same location. We had this problem with Chris's CBR, moving it so the selector pedal faces further down rectified it...........worth a try
Will get a new battery t/m and I need a ¼" to ½" drive socket adapter to torque the clutch spring bolts
