Just went for a trip to wash my feet in the gulf of carpentaria. On the way back heard about a bike crash outside of mitchell where the rider got a helicopter ride.Now we have heard about a bird in the hand and two in the bush. Well in his case he got an emu in the bike. Heard his leathers were pretty torn.Knew about roos and wombats but an emu ?
Not good, I was driving out near Bourke, the last in a train of three cars and doing 100 km/hr and out of the channel off to the side of the road and between cars 2 & 3 comes an Emu doing full clip up and over the road - he made, we made it, everybody lived but it was so completely random and unexpected
on the 6k round trip to the gulf i saw one live wild pig and a dead one,3 emu,s, wild goats, some stray horses and cows and a motza of roos.not many bike riders at all.hit a roo and a goanna but had spotters in the car.lotsa dead skippies on the road particularly around charlieville.
