I'm in the process of cleaning up and evaluating my new (to me) 1988 CBR250R. The fairings all seem to be original and are in good shape overall. There are foam pieces stuck to the inside of the front fairing panels and the foam isn't in super great shape. If I touch it it just crumbles into dust. I'm inclined to just carefully remove it as I assume it's only there for sound deadening. If it serves some important purpose let me know so I can figure out how to deal with it. Picture:
Wont hurt to run without it. not many of these antiques have any foam left on the fairings. Can't speak to the mc19 fairings, but mc22s are marked 'KAZ' somewhere on them if you are curious if they are OEM or not.
