E2069750-E0D9-4948-8189-05CC5D307C04.jpeg Good evening guys and gals
I’ve reached a place in my life where I am finally able to purchase a MINI BLADE, just cause I’ve always wanted one!
Current ride is a 2011 BMW R1200RT, I’ve just had dual hip surgeries. So the rehab plan is to get the little cibbie into a condition which I’m proud to display, and hopefully take it for a ride weekly/fortnightly/monthly, once fully recovered.
The bike appears to have been looked after mechanically (33400km) but has been sitting for the last 2 years untouched. This has left it with quite a bit of surface rust and oxidation, so cleaning is free and a good distraction for me. I am keen to remove the sub-frame in order to repaint it. Is this as easy as it appears?
No doubt I’ll be asking many, many more questions and advice. I look forward to keeping in touch.

    Cheers

    Welcome to the forum.
I haven't worked on a CBR but it look's easy enough to remove, just take some picture's of where stuff goes as a referance for when you put it back together, also note what length bolt's go where and you should be fine

Nice pickup mate , and good to see
    Another Brisbane based mc22 owner

Pop the 2 seats off , remove the fairings and you will see the 4 bolts holding the subframe on, you will have to undo a fair of wiring to get the subframe off

That looks great. Do want one of those one day, huge fan of the double round lights up front.
