so my gt250r has developed an odd little quirk with the clutch safety switch thing - whenever I go to start the bike I have to pull the clutch lever just a little bit until it finds its sweet spot and the starter goes and does its thing

its usually fine, however sometimes it doesn't work and I have to sit there jerking the clutch lever around until it feels like letting me start the bike

its not usually an issue, but its starting to become a bother when it decides to not work

any ideas on fixing it if this is a common issue? Or should I just buy a new clutch switch and replace it?

    cheers

Sure it's the switch and not the cable? Seen a few clutch cables go on the Hyo's even had one snap on me before...

A bit of lube might help the switch.

that's not even the worst part, when I bought the bike in august one of the reasons it was cheap was because it's brand new clutch cable wasn't fitted properly

so your life expectancy for a new clutch cable is ~3 months

good vid though, ill crack it open today for a look
