I believe the DVA I built early in the thread, works because I can see the .91+ volts from the pick up and when you remove the DVA you can see it slowly discharge or if you put it in the 12volts you can see it discharge for longer, plus it’s not firing up and no signal on the timing gun

The TCI I thinks good as it’s been swapped for another second hand one (could be Faulty) but also a new (Chinese ) one so I’m saying TCI looks good + the Honda guy I spoke to said there bullet proof unless you blow them?

I have 5 or 6 mc22 TCI’s , I have only ever sold one , they rarely fail. I’m wondering if you be better off pulling the harness out of the bike and running a meter across each wire, if you can validate each circuit then you can rule out the harness as well, use ohms and look for resistience in each wire run, some wires may pass the continuity test, but a higher ohms reading may show something you can’t see.

Silly question. Do you have the correct wires to the coils ? You can get them
Mixed up if you are not careful.

    SHE’S BACK FROM THE DEAD!

Today I decided to go through a list of things to sort before calling in the Pro’s

    Fitted new starter soloniod

Repair clutch switch instead of bypassing

Cut out 3 yellow wires from stator connector to the rectifier , install new wires and connectors in existing plug and sockets

Took off neutral connector clean and reinstall

Took out side stand connectors clean and reinstall

Inspected Tacho connectors, cleaned earth and refitted

    Fitted 4 new plugs

    Heat sleeved new HT cables

    Filled with fresh fuel

Sprayed WD40 down carb intakes without the air filters fitted

    Boom half a turn

Then fitted air filters and boom half a turn

Then spent 1/2 hour synchronising carbs, fluids check all ok, fitted rad and tach unit

Tomorrow or Friday depending on the weather forecast will take it out for a blast

Also before refitting her clothes, might just fit a few waterproof boots whilst I can

Thanks again for all the help from you guys - Cheers

Glad that you have it sorted and you already have the skills, as shown by before and after pic, to get the job done.

Well done, with a lot of persistent, patience and helpful advice.
