    minister making announcement on saturday.- smh today- 60 days use outside of club events to start on october 1 with logbook.brings in line with other states.must be a historic club member

    about time. a classic is a vehicle over 30 years old.with the conditional rego the greenslip is included.

    Comprehensive insurance is included as part of the rego
    That means about $120 for a year all up.
    I got my info from a lawyer mate who has 3 club rego's & that's what it costs him.
    I'll be joining a club, I've got 2 & maybe a 3rd that I'll register now, I've got 1 under full rego & costs me about $450.
    Wonder if the RTA will notice a drop or an increase, like me I'll be reducing a rego but increasing another 2
    I can't believe the bureaucrats have offered such a great idea, it is just a trial so there's time to disappoint the enthusiasts yet.

    the first year includes the number plate which is around $45 so following years are cheaper.

    no junior.uncle duncan gay is being nice. vjmc costs 40 bucks a year and meets at club macquarie this thurs nite at 7.30 pm but be early as when every one there they start.

    It'll be a little while before I have to join up, I have to get my money's worth out of the CBR & the 2 XS's aren't even on the operating table yet. RGV & another FZR to get done first then on with the exessives

    Historic Vehicle Log Book Trial

    The Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight, Duncan Gay, has asked Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime Services to develop a Historic Vehicle Log Book Trial.
    The Log Book Trial will allow all operators of existing vehicles within the Historic Vehicle Scheme to opt-in. These vehicles may then be used for 60 days of general use (i.e. club events, maintenance and personal use) each year. Each day’s use must be recorded in a Log Book.
    New entrants to the Historic Vehicle Scheme after the trial commences may apply for inclusion in the Log Book Trial, subject to the existing historic vehicle and registered operator eligibility criteria.
    The trial will operate for two years, with an evaluation to be completed during this period as part of the Roads and Maritime Services review of the overall Conditional Registration Scheme.
    The Historic Vehicle Log Book Trial will commence on 1 October 2015. Details on how to opt in to the trial will be updated on this page from this date.

    top information.club must be approved and running for at least 2 years and rego check must have been done in last 42 days or redone.
