Help help oil in carb

    hi im tryin to get a neo 2000 portable generator started, it has oil in cylinder and carb ??????? how can this be,i cleaned carb out and put rag down cylinder and cleaned best I could,ran for couple of seconds then stopped,im thinking only way this can happen is if whoever tried starting it before put oil down cylinder ???? any ideas please

    1937 Royal Enfield 250, CF Moto 250 V5, Honda's XL250, CBR250, FT500 plus a few others.
    It's way overfull of oil or has been tipped on it's side. Try taking the spark plug out and spin the engine over with starter and see if oil still coming out.

    hi murdo thanks
    cleaned top o cylinder out with cloth and cleaned spark plug,cleaned carb and it started for 2-3 seconds then stopped,i re cleaned and exact same happened, im gonna have another clean tomorrow but I got a reply off agent and they said same as you but said it could be the spark arrestor ???????? any idewa what that is cheers jim

    A blocked spark arrestor (which is in the muffler) would not cause the engine to pump oil into the carb. Are you sure it's not overfull of oil?
