G’day gents and ladies. Thought I would say hi to everyone. For those who I never had the pleasure to meet, a little about me (boring, just skip to the end). Been riding since 1980. Although I’m a database developer by profession, I’ve been involved on the motorbike industry since 2007. It all started when I bought an old, decrepit ZZR250. Engine was still good (despite the 80.xxx ks on the clock), so I started fixing/improving things on my spare time. Many projects later, I developed a love for the CBR250RR (MC22), and started restoring only this model. I started buying aftermarket parts in bulk directly from the factory, and soon my accountant told me a couldn’t declare that activity as a hobby anymore…. Well, since the ATO calls it a “business”, let’s do business then. This is how I started stocking up genuine and aftermarket parts. Mostly for the Honda MC22 and MC19, but since last year, I have been adding a few items for common models of Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha as well, such as levers, windscreens, etc. Today, my wife and I have around 200 different items in stock in Sydney, where anyone is welcome to come and pickup, or we can get it post within 1 business day. Don’t ask me about our website just yet… we got the website done 2 years ago, but I hate the graphics, so never made it public. But I will be adding a few list of goodies to the “Trading Post” section of the forum soon. Cheers Omar
Welcome to the forum Omar, very pleasing to have a member who not only rides, but can supply parts Look forward to seeing your listing soon.
Ok, I've been doing a bit of research on aftermarket and genuine Across parts. What type of parts would you guys more likely need? Mirrors? Windscreens? Indicators? Or engine parts? With accessories and non-critical parts, would you prefer to pay more for genuine, or would you go with aftermarket? My Chinese suppliers don't have much for the Across. That could be because genuine parts are not too expensive, of the demand as been low for their standards. But I spoke to my genuine parts supplier, and they have access to Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki parts as well. I would like to stock up a few genuine Suzuki parts, but need to know what would sell, and avoid what would take years to move. If you need any specific part for the Across, or any other Honda, Yama, Suzy or Kawa bike, give me the part number and let me see what prices I can get.
Ladies and Gentlemen, what other site would you find such Superlative service, a Vendor comes to you. Ask and thou shall receive, well done Xcite Bikes.
Hey Omar, missed your reply, it's been one hell of a week. I'll put a shopping list together, but I know I need a new seat cheers
