G'day Guys, I need some help if possible, I am having some issues with the GN250 When I hit the start button sometimes it will crank and sometimes its just spinning (more often its just spinning) I have had the starter motor out and tested this and its fine, I have been looking online and I think it could be the springs and bearings in the starter clutch, does this sound right? If I stick it in gear and rock it forwards and backward this sometimes seems to help it crank. Cheers for any info guys
I think you are on the right track. As the rollers and springs wear they don't grab the hub and spin freely. Time for some shed time with the spanners.
Ok guys, time to investigate the starter issue - barrier number 1, any ideas the best way to take off the rotor without the special tool? I can see that someone has already been in here probably with a screwdriver as a brace as I can see some damage. Would an impact wrench get the nut off? (is so i have to go buy one) Maybe someone has some better idea. Cheers for any advice guys
Read the workshop manual , I think it is Suzuki part number 09930-34960, but please check before buying
