    Another site newbie.
I'm actually the main spanner for a young bloke that's bought himself a Megelli 250s, and a wife with a Virago 250 rather than a 250 rider myself, though I do sometimes miss my old GPX and KR. I was a lot lighter back then though. Threw some coins in the pot on the way in the door.

I'll have to wait for pics I'm afraid. While I'm the main spanner slinger, I'm out in the middle of the state while the son (and his bike) are on the coast.
Since this is a quarter litre focused site I'll keep my personal ride out of it. This is the wife's Virago up to the Putty Road.

Where in the Central West? I am out that way fairly often... actually came up the Putty road today and hopefully back down there to Sydney tomorrow.

I'm in Cowra, my son is in Narrabeen ... or he would be if his bike hadn't crapped out on him trying to get home from TAFE in Ryde tonight.
Seems it's something to do with the clutch. Previous owner was supposed to have replaced the cable and set the push rod, but it appears I have the new cable in a bag here and either the old cable is stretching like a rubber band or the push rod has come loose. Being four hours or so away from him there's not much I can do from here. I had planned to go over the bike with him before he left Cowra with it, but he left before I could get back from a ride to Murrambateman.

That’s a bummer for your son.... why on earth would you want go for a ride to Murrumbateman lol....
It is a nice run up from Yass to Cowra though....
Yes... Previous Owners are notorious for telling blatant lies or bodyguards work.... sometime both..
Hope he gets it sorted quickly.

Well we went down through Boorowa then around to Binalong and around the back way, then crossed the highway and took back roads up to Crookwell and Wyangala.

The PO in this case is a "mate" of the Son's, and one of those people that knows nothing about bikes and less about how to use a spanner. I would have advised my son to avoid this bike and get one of several CB250s in the area. The CB might not be an inspiring look but they're reliable as a rock and parts are dead easy to get. He turned his last one into a pretzel (this is his third go at his Ls) by managing to get it airborne and land it on it's head.

And back to forum stuff, I have a bit of a collection of bike manuals, both user and service. If anybody needs information not in the resources area let me know and I'll upload it if I have it.
