I got a spare black 3LN fairing set requiring some plastic welding repairs I would let go cheaply if you are interested. Don't know if OEM or not though... might not be.

Some bits are rougher than others but I think would come up OK with a bit of TLC

Thanks @Joker. I haven't have a chance to do much with the bike so far - I'm weighing up a couple of things that might push it further back, too. OEM fairings should have a part number on the fairings, but not sure with yamaha, but it might have some casting stamps.
I was thinking of making an aerodynamic kit as it could improve overall spend, but they need to be similar to production or race fairings to stay in the class. I'd be interested in knowing what price and whether you'd post it? I'm in central qld, so I'm not likely to pick up. Sorry. They look pretty decent, too.

If the top fairing has two h/lights its ether a 2 kr or 3ln-1. one h/light is 3ln-3

Thanks for the encouragement. At the moment, I'm bogged down in uni and have a bundle of projects, but we'll see.

After almost 12 months, maybe I should update. I did some calculations, albeit crude, and came up with a maximum power of about 120hp at 20psi or so. Then there's the costs: nomination, getting there, building the bike, and getting organised to spend a week in the desert. These costs, in light of my current financial situation and lack of potential returns, means it doesn't make for good business (I know that isn't the reason most do it, but there are cheaper bike thrills). Add to that, how long it has sat on the back-burner, how many projects are in front of it (and how slow their progress is), and my need to cut back on the array of my activities, I sold the fzr. I'm going to owe @kiffsta for some time after my last visit... :-/

Thank you to everyone for their encouragement and help. I wish I could have finished it, seen if I could crack 150mph.
