Correct procedure for CCT removal - Auto adjust/Cam chain check

On a Fizzer u pull the top bolt off first so the plunger remains as is when the springs are out.....then u can see how much more is left on the auto adjust plunger when u remove the unit.
When u have it out measure the plunger thats showing then pull it to its max to see if theres anything left.
Mine had another 8mm to go so Im assuming its all ok and the cam chain has some life in it still.

I then pushed the plunger all the way in after making sure there was plenty of free movement in the plunger (assemble it in your hand to replicate it being in the motor) and put it back on ... without the top bolt and springs initially. When the top bolt and springs are installed the plunger will auto tension the cam chain.
After it was back together I removed it all again to check it was doing its job.

Just give it a clean ... it is well lubricated with engine oil when in situ .... put it all together again and run the motor.

    And don't forget a new gasket....part # 5G2-12213-00 (2 gaskets)

    Components all apart ......

Top one is out of the working bike..... bottom one is spare fully extended
