Airbox on & what a sound ! Man I don't think I could ever bring myself to ride a 1 or 2 banger. It's just not the same as that inline 4 sweetness. Full rev's to redline ZERO BOG Woohoo !!!

OK so I just checked the 2kr service manual
    https://www.2fiftycc.com/index.php?resources/yamaha-fzr250-2kr-service-manual-japanese.51/

On page 4-6, the last image shows fuel level measurement graphic - very much the same way you have done it and on top of page 4-7 it says 17.5mm - 19.5mm - so I would say fuel level below the measurement point

So see if you can find that measurement point - it looks to show the upper level of the float bowl itself in the image - check what you've got now and see if it correlates to what they've depicted in the manual.

Got something close - see what your float height is and you should have a reasonably accurate relationship between float height and fuel level so you can hopefully go between float height adjustments/measurements to fuel level

That's for the tips man. I think the airbox made a bit of a difference there. To used to working on my Bandit lol.

Cheers for all the tips man. I think I've found the sweet spot. I've yet to take it for a spin but it now revs freely all the way to redline.

A lot sure happened while I was researching and typing - interested to see how it runs and also if the fuel level is in the range that they specify

I'll take it for a blast around the block shortly & get some actual fuel level measurements from the side of the bowl .

What do you mean ? I read a ton before I decided to post here.

Without posting here I'd still be messing about wasting time chasing my tail no doubt.

That o-ring looks too thick to be OEM size. Is it a genuine part?

I think @GreyImport meant that what I posted duplicated what he posted, but I had the reply open for quite a while as I was reading the service manual and didn't refresh to see new replies - his post was better as he did screen captures of the service manual - or I could be completely wrong :D :D :D

Good on you for getting some measurements, that can then feed back to our knowledge base to assist others

It's not a genuine part. It was for another carb (forgot which ones) I had years ago lol... (mabye 10 yrs ago lmao...). These o-rings feel pretty "aged" & I shouldn't really be using them I know. But it's all I've got at the minute.

I'll need to get some actual 2KR seats & o-rings in the very near future.

The measurement point is that cast dot which is like a superscript degrees sign by the letter N in made iN* Japan one one of your pictures - it's identified really clearly in the manual when it's magnified @ 300%
