i've checked the two fuses i could find, don't have the front indicators plugged in and am missing a temp sensor. i've checked the kill switch a couple of times. Is the ignition switch suppose to have two positions ie on and off?
Ignition switch has 3 position's, lock, off and on You wont get any warning light's if the kill switch isn't plugged in, could try bypassing it to check if the switch is working, unplug it and make a jump wire to connect the 2x terminal's in the socket on the main loom Stand switch is plugged in? Clutch switch is plugged in ? Main relay is plugged in ? Battery is earthed to clean bare metal on the frame ?
ok so it was the ignition switch that was playing up. so I got it to fire up. now i'm doing an oil change and i have dropped the filter but don't understand the drain plug. is it a lock screw and plug?
17mm spanner from memory, the phillip's head screw is there to make it easier, once loosen it you can undo it with a screwdriver
17mm nut... Lefty loosey righty tighty... And use a new crush washer. Torque for the bolt will be 20-30nm, check the manual, you don't need to crank it down heaps.
Yeah they should have one that'll work, should be the same as a jap car one Even something like this- http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Champion-Plug-Washer-CDP12/3879?menuFrom=1021591 Or this http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Champion-Plug-Washer-CDP11/3878
ok guys so i have got this thing back together and tried to get it to run again. will start if i put a tiny bit of gas in the throat of the carbs and will run rough on the choke only and opening the throttle seems to either kill it or do nothing. after mucking around with it for a bit i gave the pipes a quick tap and cylinder 3 and 4 were cold. Im wondering if the coil may have broken down? is there a way to check the coil?
If your coils are properly connected, the left one will fire cylinder 1+4 and the right one should fire cylinder 2+3. If the leads are in good nick they may still have the little yellow numbered bands around them, if not, the length of each lead should provide an indication of where it needs to go.

Check what Linkin said first. Did you put the throttle cable around the right way? Also, is your fuel tap on?
OK so im an idiot and two of the leads were around the wrong way. will start on choke and then idle without the choke now. but the throttle still wont increase the revs. and they seem to jump up randomly?
