FZR 250 3LN rebuild begins (picture heavy)

    After much chasing around for parts, including ordering a genuine bearing at $65 au...
    I'll start with the output shaft assembly

    Everything gets cleaned, and I'm using ATF as an assembly fluid for the drive-train...
    The direction of each component is critical, you can see the shiny marks on the 2nd gear where the dog teeth from 6th gear meet it, in this image.
    2nd gear (31 teeth) goes on the output shaft first, followed by the thrust washer and circlip...

    next is the sliding 6th gear (27 teeth) with the larger dog teeth towards 2nd gear... in this picture 3rd gear (32 teeth) is also installed...

    next is 4th gear (27 teeth) followed by another thrust washer and circlip, notice that 3rd and 4th gear face opposite directions with the stepped faces against each other
