    Hey guys.

After watching the Australian dollar go lower and lower during the past year or so, it became unbearable for me to keep selling fairings at the current prices. Last time I updated the prices, the Australian dollar was 95 cents. Recently, I've been trading at 86 cents (official rate is 87, but you never get that). Those few cents per dollar, times the full price of a kit in USD, make quite a difference at the end.

For this reason, I will increase the price of fairings from the 1st January 2015. The MC22/MC19 kit will go from $495 to $520. After checking what the competition charges on eBay and their websites (http://www.motorcyclefairingsale.com.au/honda-fairings/cbr250rr/mc22.html), I have the impression the price of $520 is still very good.

Although I need to increase all prices, I still want to be competitive, so I'll add just a few bucks, to make up for the drop of the AUD.

Summing up, if you need fairings, make sure to order before the end of the year, and the price will still be the same as it’s now. It applies to all Chinese fairings, not matter the bike model.

    Cheers
    Omar

I know... I will might have to adjust again. Economists keep saying that the AUD should be around 80c USD. Little by little, it is getting there, and I will have to revise it again when it happens.

yeah mate i trade currencies in my downtime, aussie broke 86 last night actually so expect it lower again. The rba want it at 85 and have said that for yonks but with this usd strength and weak aussie fundamentals it should head to 80.

Unfortunately not. There are 2 major fairing factories in China, and both have a limited variety of molds for injected ABS. All other kit (if available) are made by compression mold.

I'm getting a few things for the Ninja250/300, such as mirrors and LED indicators, and some mufflers from Tyga as well.

There are fibreglass race fairings for the Ninja250. But, like all other fairing kits, I have to adjust the price as well. At the moment, the unpainted race kit for the 250R is $570. It will go up to around $620 next year.

With those kits, the front nose and side panels are one piece, belly panels are one piece, and duck tail is one piece as well. The mounting holes are not pre-drilled, and it can be painted in any colour scheme for an extra $190.

Quite expensive in my opinion, but I don't control the prices...

sounds like the going rate tbh.

i got mine from the states, pre-drilled, but the main fairing and belly pan are a poor fit, cost less than $500 to my door. i'll keep an eye on what you bring in, i'd rather put the money in your pocket than some of the ebay sellers.
