    Looks familiar that damage

How bad is the front end? ... are the forks bent or just skew in the TTs?

The way @cantafforda600 described the damage initially I was expecting far worse, rear set +mirror +indicator is an easy fixe, the front end remains a mystery. Lets hope it isn't to severe. Hard to tell from the photo's what is broken up front.

probably a bit of pessimism in my initial reaction there haha, the fairings held up very well though the bike didnt slide for long at all, kind of did a nose-dive onto the right handlebar and brake lever

think i could come around after work today @kiffsta ? would probably get there around 4-4:30pm with the keys and whatnot to see how it all goes

maybe on the weekend then, the train ride is a bit long

ive got some similar looking (but slightly smaller) indicators mounted on the back of the zxr, plus good zxr rearsets, i wonder..

If its just gone down the road and hasnt wacked something then u would think the forks may be just out of line

yeah, i dont think the impact wouldve been enough to properly bend the forks, though it is a sewing machine so i suppose you never know

well about $170 later i've got a rearset, pair of aftermarket mirrors (apparently cheaper than one oem mirror.. who cares about oem parts when they're korean anyway), an indicator and shiny new foot pegs all on the way.

think i'm gonna try my chances with bending the original brake lever back, cause a new one is $50 and i do not like spending money, not one bit.

    sewing all the way home

i honestly think if i removed the engine and replaced it with my mom's old sewing machine and hooked the spool up to the front sprocket, i'd gain a fair bit of power

i dunno if its just the engine being knocked up from the crash, or i just forgot how slow my bike was.
probably both, will have a look in the morning

still beats public transport though, and all's well that ends well. thanks a lot to @kiffsta for picking it up and helping out

Haha yeh... I'm not a fan of the Hyo quality personally but they are a cheap EFI bike now, so not all bad. If I can find a cheap 650 I might go for it, my bike is made for tiny Japanese men.

I think they're a solid option for those short on money who want something that isn't 20+ years old.

I think I'd prefer an old bike. Can pick up MC22s for super cheap (saw one recently for $900). But EFI is nice if you live in cold areas.
