Hey so I was thinking about maybe changing the lights behind the dash of my C model zxr Has anybody attempted this yet and is it possible? Also what globes would I use ?:0 Thanks !
Most bike's use T10 and T5 wedge incandescant bulb's, you can replace them with brighter Led's, they draw less power and last longer too I have just fitted some of these to my bike, the blue wasn't bright enough in the end so i went with the whites My led's cost around $2 for 10 led's inc postage off ebay
White 10x, $2.40 inc delivery http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10x-Car-...513191?hash=item488eec8f67:g:jhYAAOSw3YNXYRlO These are the Yellow/Amber one's, 10x for $2.51 inc delivery http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10pcs-Ce...hash=item281ba92112:m:muzuYzGTOLL6rhjLFQ_LFfQ
My FZR used 3x T10 led's and 1x smaller T5 for the gauge's I also put 3 more led's in the oil light, neutral indicator and high beam warning light's, couldn't use the led in the indicator warning light as most led's only work one way eg left turn or right turn The T5 led's are $2.31 inc delivery for 10 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/27222733...49&var=571033896193&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
ZXRs have t5 size, tried a few they didnt work that good, green & white no good, you need an orange light for it to work properly, maybe diffrrent globes might of worked but they werent bright enough. I ended up just getting new 2w globes. 2 in the speedo & tach each, 1 in the temp guage & 4 in neutral oil blinkers etcso 9 all up
They dont work at all in the neutrsl/oil lights etc because its coloured plastic lenses, I put white in the blue high beam & it looked green, blinkers looked yellow instead of orange etc if you got a red/orange/blue & green for each light it works ok, I actually got a green led in the neutral light and its so eye piercingly bright its coming back out haha
