Hey all, kiff was curious about the service costs I've paid on my Daelim (having now done 5,000 km), so I thought I'd post them up here for comparison/discussion.

Both services were done by Urban Moto service centre on Dawson's road in brunswick - they were recomended by the dealership (scooterama). They do know Daelims (both times I've taken mine in there was at least 1 other VJF there, in fact on the day of my fisrt service my bike was VJF #3 of the day), and they seem to do a thorough job. That said, they are not the cheapest in the world, but not massively overpriced either.

    Service 1 - 500kms
    cost: 250 incl. GST

    Services:
    2 hours labour
    full oil change
    New filter
    Engine tuning
Everything frm the filters to the plugs to the mirror nuts checked
    Idle speed tweeked
    full lube
    + test drive

    5,000k
    cost: 264 incl. gst
    2 labour hours
Oil + filter (Motul 10W40 in case you're curious)
    Decarboniser added to fuel
New bulb in the parking light (which had blown or got damaged)

    Then full check-up and a slight re-tune

They also washed the bike this time.

So... a little expensive, and for my third service I'm going to try a guy I used to visit locally and see the price difference, but it wasn't budget-blowing and they seem to be pretty thorough about it, and very willing to talk out what they've done.

    comments?

thats pretty resonable, a decent bike mechanic will charge between $80 and $100 for labour plus fluids, filters etc...    whats the service intervals on the Daelim ?

For comparison my first 500km service cost me about $200. Was done at scooterino homebush. As far as I know it basically included oil change + new oil filter.

In regards to the neutral light I am also interested if anyone has had this problem and had it resolved? Yesterday I was sitting at a red light in netral and started rolling the stationery bike back and forward (I was a little bored). The neutral lights started flickering before going out completely. Then coming back on....

megelli had a problem of finding nuetral but a revised gear selector fixes this.
