Hmm, bit shiiiity right now, cruising home after work in the left hand lane ( right hand wheel track) of Wynnum road in Morningside and a lady in a Toyota Kluger was pulling out of the Caltex servo, I thought I had made eye contact when I was about 10 meters away, she roared out into my lane just missing me.  Damm close call.....

I think I owe my Q ride trainer a beer, he kept drumming into me, expect the unexpected... always look for hazzards and make sure you have an escape plan.

    Cheers N Beers

That was way to close. I have also thanked the guys from the rider training for the same things and they also drummed in to keep practicing your emergency stopping. This came in real handy when I was going down to do my P's as I came around a corner and found the very friendly guy in a semi turning onto the road in front of me. Although He was already moving before I was in view. keeping a eye out for hazards and buffering I was able to make a safe stop in time but it was a good re-enforcement of how easy things happen around you that you can't control.

Been there mate, it absolutely sucks, I almost binned it once like this, ended up mounting the median strip and almost falling off at 80km/h, very lucky that day...

That's one of the things I hate and love about motorcycles though.

    :occasion14:
I'm still considering the idea of mounting a paintball gun next to my radiator...
