The CBX 250 was not imported into the US, and was imported for only one year in Canada. A hypothesised 6-7 were imported to New Zealand. Almost all documentation is difficult to acquire, and in fact cited years of production vary from 1984 to 1989. The consensus however is that it is a slightly underpowered, maneuverable learners bike. While not overwhelmingly fast it can exceed 100 mph.

The later models , called the Twister or the CBF in Australia , has a readily available manual

Cant find anything as yet for the 87 CBX

    Found this comment .....
I believe it uses the same rfvc engine as the 1985 XL 250, single carbed, 24hp with the same bore and stroke.

Cheers grey! That pictured CBX is exactly his, minus the black tank.
As both me and my mate arent too experienced with bikes its a bit of a stretch to find similar bikes and makes for similar manuals...but the help you have given is VERY much appreciated!
Any info you find will be of massive help.

    Thanks again.

Just to add to this thread, apparently the Honda GB250 is the same as my CBX250, If anyone has any info on a manual, I would greatly appreciate it. They wants $50 for one on Ebay otherwise.

Sadly I think you will find the GB250 was a Japan only/grey import as well therefore things for it are rare also.

Which is why that ebay seller is charging $50 ..... bit dubious that theres no picture of the front cover though.

And why would Honda issue an English version when its a domestic bike only.

Also strange that with all my searching for these manuals theres no reference to it or a copy for download.

Ive asked the ebay seller for a photo of the front cover :D

EDIT: well he added some photos of a couple of the pages .... so its the real deal at least .... but not the cover .... he probably knows I will use it to find a copy of it elsewhere

Well it seems the CBX was sold in the UK between 1984-86 according to this ebay listing

These are genuine Honda service manuals .... something that would have been for the dealers service workshop and not for sale to the public.

I havnt seen any Clymers or Haynes for the CBX or GB ..... if the bikes were only imported to the UK for 2 years it wouldnt have been worth it I guess.

If u put something like CBX250 manual into google images then u will usually see the cover come up if such a thing
exists ... in the CBX250 example theres plenty for the latter model Twister of course..... and the ones linked above.

Yep. Its not the same file size as the one I have so thats encouraging but I want to be sure its not the same. Can you have a peek at some pages and tell me if its all grammatically correct?

    Stuff like:

    "
It recommends the use of strawberries / rectifiers specific
to valve seats, for the correction of seats worn.
The Rectification of the seat of the valve with a
strawberry 45° always to replace the guide. In the
event that the surface of contact is too high, use a
strawberry flat 32TH to lower the seat. In the event
that the surface of contact is too low, use a strawberry
internal 60TH to raise the seat. Using a strawberry
finished 45TH rectification of the seat of agreement
with the specifications. Using a strawberry 45° remove
any roughness or irregularities of the seat of the valve."

    Isnt particularly useful to me.

Im pretty sure thats the one i have now. It doesnt seem to have any good info, or at least intelligible info on the cam chain tensioner. The quote i posted was from section 7-14 Thanks very much for helping though.
