    Also, about the junior bike.
The rider, Jackson, used to race against the junior dragsters, however they'd still count him as a junior bike so he'd win the prizes for junior bike if you get my jist
At summer nationals in Taupo, heaps of junior dragster parents complained about having Jackson against the dragsters, because if they collided Jackson would get seriously hurt and the parents of the dragsters could be liable, and also there was a rule change in 2013 saying jdb couldn't go against jds. So currently, Jackson has to run exhibition passes

That's sad for Jackson, but I can understand parents being concerned that their kid might run into him and hurt him. Cool bike. Hopefully, a few more will come along and he can race for real! Do you know anything about the Funny Car Junior Dragster?

The driver is Dylan, he's 10 or 11 I'm pretty sure, I think it has has a 125 cc motor I'm not certain though. It's the only junior Funny car in NZ. the Hartley family got it imported from the us for their son Nathan, but then when Nathan got to old for it they sold it to Dylan

Great to see some thought being put into different style of JDs.

Like in the first post, dad hasn't done anything to the motor, so it would probably bring it down even lower, seeing as I got it to a 9 without any tuning or extra bits and pieces

Dad changed the gear ratio for the last meet of the season, which was tara challenge at the start of April. The ratio upped my MPH by 5, so my PB MPH is now 67.3! I ran a new pb overall of a 9.5 the new ratio has given my dragster more power, however it's taken away my wheel stands it's also made the gears too hard to change, so dad might chuck in a chip to make my engine cut so my gears will change easier. However I have a choice to go back to my consistent 10.1 (9.7) gear ratio, and I will get my wheelstands back, and I won't need to worry about getting used to a new ratio

    Good work Cindy. :thumb_ups:
Has your mechanic/pit crew/dad rebuilt the carbs and got it running on all cylinders yet?

Good work on the PB Cindy. I'm interested to see what you and your Dad do next. As @Murdo said, getting the carbs right will give you some more power.

I also forgot to mention, I learnt how to do a skid as well! I was racing against my brother, and I did a pretty powerful one. I then went up to stage, and he hates staging first, so there was no way I was staging first so then we finally both staged after a minute, the light went green and as soon as i left the line i ripped my sprocket! I was trying to change gears to get anywhere but it wasn't working I shut off the engine and I got pushed back, dad checked it out and the sprocket was completely ripped

Cindy, when you say it was "ripped" do you mean stripped or did you break your chain? Odd thing to happen, but I'm not sure how heavy JD's are, so interesting. Picture of the sprocket?

I mean ripped, it's ripped out of place and it's sticking out, I'm 80% sure the chains fine but the sprocket is definitely broken. Dads gonna make a stronger one for next season

You have a lot more rubber on the ground than what a bike does so maybe need to go up a size in chain.

If you're using a 428 size/pitch chain and sprocket, consider going up as murdo said. 520 kits are plentiful and by far the most common size for sportsbikes.
