Looking for some clues as to why my MC 22 has big problems starting when cold. I rebuilt the carbs but I presume there is an issue as wonce started it is fine . But it wont start with choke on either.

Hi, when you rebuilt carbs, did you completely disassemble and poke out all little bleed holes with matching gauge wire? Also ultrasonic soak for hours? Followed by lots of scrubbing of petrol passages with brushes? Finish with micro soda-blasting?

If not, then your carbs aren't factory-fresh clean and they are still clogged. Bike will run like brand-new when your carbs are factory-fresh clean. I started mine in -3C just fine with choke.

I did clean out all the little holes with wire but did not do ultrasonic or soda blasting.
Can that be done without separating the carbs?
