I was looking around for anything either side of the TDRA May 14/15 meeting and noticed Carnell Raceway (Stanthorpe, Queensland) has a drag meet scheduled for the following Saturday (May 21st). So, I'm thinking of maybe driving North and having a run. I've sent them an email askign for specifics (cost, format etc), so I will post that info as soon as it comes to hand.

The last time I was at Carnell Raceway I was 15 years old!

Okay, it looks like the May 21st meeting is a goer, so now I have to determine who else is interested in coming along and if I can afford it? Lets focus on who else wants to come along and then I'll worry about the latter. This is 1/8 mile, so the same as TDRA meetings.

Sorry Frankster, bit short of the reddies at the moment with more bills coming.

@Murdo Didn't the federal government just give you guys a $250 bonus bribe?

Seriously though, I probably won't go to Stanthorpe on my own as I have plenty to do down South. Let me know if any of the QLD guys are interested in meeting up in Stanthorpe for the Drag meeting. I know @kiffsta isn't on here anymore, but maybe @ShaneP or anyone else keen to have a run at a country drag strip?

Thanks for thinking of us. I already have plans for that weekend, sorry. I saw Carnell come up the other day when I was looking at road racing events and saw the Big Chill event. But I didn't know they had any sort of decent track, I thought we only had the 3 (Lakeside, Ipswich and Warrick). I'd also need a bike, I have the VFR750 and I got my ZX-6R going, there's even the Triumph sprint, but nothing to represent the quarter litre.
I might mention it to kiffsta, too. There are a few others in Qld, just can't recall names.

Thanks Shane. It's looking less likely by the day, as most of the southern crew can't make it. I won't cry if I don't get there as I have plenty of other things to be getting on with. It just seemed like a really good opportunity to do two different events on successive weekends and given there relative proximity to each other, it wasn't going to be too much of a stretch travel and expense wise. I may/will still go if someone else decides to attend.
