    Hi All,
I have been chatting to Grey Import about the carb diaphragms for his fizzer and the possibility of getting some made. Anyway in the process of searching I came across this
    http://bar-paraiso.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2013/04/post-2da8.html
So this guy is using the Suzuki part 13507-32C00, which he lists as being from the 1989 GSXR250R, for the Yamaha. Also this same part number is referenced on the Zeal site at https://sites.google.com/site/yamahafzx250zeal/parts-list/carburetor
This part is readily available and not too expensive. Note that it has been superceded by 13507-32C01
Sounds like it may be a winner. Please add more info if you have some.
    cheers
    Blair

    The lawnmower blokes!
I will buy one the next time I am ordering some original parts and see what sort of money is involved in producing them in Viton. NRP in the UK claim to be using viton exclusively for their diaphragms so can't be a bad move.
    http://www.nrp-carbs.co.uk/shop/

I have seen them as low as $15.76 (US) at http://www.ronayers.com/13507-32C01-P3693747.aspx for the genuine part. I will have to keep my price quite low I guess :D
    cheers
    Blair

ps. Don't wait for this. It will take a painfully looooong time.

The main thing that was going to be a major hurdle in rebuilding those 3LN3 carbs was obtaining a set of diaphragms .... some green ones would look nice in them :D ..... or at least the Suzuki alternative :thumb_ups:

what I should do is buy one and see how they fit .... at least replace the "repaired' one in the present set

Yea $250 for a set is madness ...... something like $40 for viton would be bliss ! ... and extremely affordable for your average joe.
The other thing is the original part # 3LN-14940-00 includes the slide and of course the holding clip which is going to jack up the price even if u can find any ....

    http://www.cmsnl.com/products/diaphragm-assy_3ln1494000/#.UnHAQxCsNn0

Looks like the Hyosung RX125D dirt bike uses 13507-32C01 as well.
I cant find a detailed list of specs of the D model to see which actual carb it uses.

Seems to fit like a glove ..... and I guess we need to take into account the original has been humping away in a hot carb for 20+ years , as they arnt an exact match so to speak.

Sorry I don't do any diaphragms. Once I finish the Keihin FCR kits I hope to have a hiatus from making carb kits for new models and start on aluminium bits.

14940 is also the FZR 3LN part # ..... so I would guess the Suzuki diaphragm would fit yours also.

The originals are available but Yamaha sells them complete with slide and therefore the price is crazy

Do u have your carbs apart at the moment?

whats on the menu mate?

Oh I dunno. I am going to get a new TIG, my old one is just DC so no good for aluminium, and start by doing some fabricated bits. I was thinking of doing some sub-frames that have carbon sandwich panels between the rails and carbon tube to support the tail light section. That will keep them light and compact for shipping and allow owners to mess about with different body parts without too much difficulty. I also want to make new seats for some of the 90s sports bikes. I started on one for the Yamaha that is based on the R7 (drool) seat. The one in the picture is an R7 seat that I have scaled down by cutting into lots of little pieces. Trouble is I am hopeless with composites, so I might try doing them from sheet alloy.
