Hey guys new to the forum, but have a question about the throttle position sensor on the side of the carb.

does anyone know what the voltage range it should be and we’re it should be set. I’m not really having any issues but be just interesting to know if it is set correctly.

If you haven't got any issues, then it is probably set correctly.
If you tinker with it, it won't be.

Yea pretty much don't fix anything that's not broken but still be handy to know if I ever had to remove the Carby's or anything along those lines.

Is the spec in the service manual?
    It's usually a voltage range [3 pin/wire TPS]

Any carburetted bike with a throttle position sensor will only use it for a 3D ignition curve map (engine RPM, vehicle speed, temperature and throttle position will all be combined and ignition advance selected based on those figures)

However any TPS can become worn or faulty with age and use. The most common issues are they either die entirely (rare), or become worn on the most used positions (just off idle / cruising) and become erratic in their operation.

Adjustment can improve throttle response and smoothness when taking off from a stop / low speed. Adjustment is easier on fuel injected models as all the modern sensors and the like can tell you when it's in the ideal position.

Can you post a pic of the sensor on the carb?

Thanks mate for that info…I did have a small play and it seems it improved my throttle response quite a bit..but just wish I could find the factory setting just as a reference.
