I was invited to bring some of my motorbikes to the 'All Fired Up' motorcycle show in Coffs Harbour on the 4th and 5th of January. This show was put on by the Coffs Harbour and District Motorcycle Restorers Club to aid those who lost everything in the bush fires on the north coast. There was a terrific display in the pavillion at the show ground with over two hundred bikes ranging from the 1920's to 2020. I loaded my MEC, salt race bike and KE175 into the trailer and took a leisurely drive to the coast on Friday afternoon. Motel and dinner at the services club before driving to showground on Saturday morning to put the bikes on display. They were locked up overnight with security in the hall as well. Many and varied conversations over the two days and after the presentation I loaded the bike and left for home. Packed hall. Montessa 250 trail bike. Yamaha MX250B(before YZ). Broke a bone in my back from one of these, still bloody hate them. 1952 250cc TWN (Triumph Works Nuremberg) made in Germany at the site of the original Triumph factory before Siegfried Bettmann moved to England. BMW 250cc R26 150cc MV Agusta. 250cc Bultaco Metralla, both an original and race bikes. Yamaha 250cc R1-Z. Suzuki RGV250. Bultaco Astro 250 (factory dirt track racer). MZ250 Trophy. Bought new by owner, sold and bought back 20 years later. Montessa 247cc Cota trials bike.
A few more. Some blue thing stuck in a corner. A Yamaha 1974 DT250A under very nice restoration. Laverda 750SF. And 750SFC. Yamaha V-Max 1200cc. Japanese tar speedway bike. Nice Ducati 600cc Pantah. And one for Maelstrom (sorry thought of you when I saw this) Ducati 500GTL. Honda CX500 and 650 Turbo's. A really nice Velocette. Honda CB1100RD. Rickman frame, Jawa 2 valve speedway engine, Norton gearbox. Looked very nice. Lots of interesting bikes, but these caught my interest and I hope you like them too (except the GTL).
A report on the local news. https://www.nbnnews.com.au/2020/01/05/motorcycle-exhibition-for-coffs-harbour/
Haha, you got mixed up Doc. It is the GTO that I want to see not the GTL. Anyway that GTL is not complete as it is missing the attachment for anchor chain.
