Thanks Simon Of course we want to read the articles. To make a thread go to the forum section choose Suzuki 4 cylinder and at the top is a new thread button.
Honda CBR250RR MC22 vs CBR250RR MC51 The MC51 should be called CB250S (S for slug), but it does have lots of pointy plastic.
May have one of my pre-restricted engine bouncing off limiter but will take a while to find it. Texas World Speedway was freaking awesome on a 'slow bike.' The front straight was banked. Slow bikes stayed on the flat to avoid the 60+mph delta, will definitely post one of the post-restricted engine topping out. Will probably a single run at COTA since most of the other tracks are not big enough to stretch a bike out to the top.
I wonder if the Speedo drive is of the output shaft and of someone changed the sprockets then then true speed might be less? I know people have said they've had an mc22 over 200km/h reading their Speedo, but it is off the output shaft. However, the zx25r should be able to do that speed
There's only one place to get a true top speed, but be prepared for disappointment https://www.dlra.org.au/
To the best of my knowledge salt speeds are slower. "Running on the salt present its own set of unique challenges to riders and teams. One of the most surprising facts is that racing on salt is actually slower than racing on asphalt, which would make running at Bonneville seem counter-intuitive. The salt pack can vary greatly in its resistance, depending on the level of water present, and a rough 10% velocity reduction is often assumed when trying to compare the two speeds." https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/ra...orlds-fastest-production-electric-motorcycle/
