Hey guys, im struggling to get somewhere to mactch up the champion plug, or crossreference an ngk one? noone has stock and it seems to confuse people? Im happy to buy iridium or whatever is best. Also my clutch is grabbing right at the end, is there an easy way to adjust this? (I tried from the lever and made it a little worse) Thanks in advance for the advice!
Owners manual .... plug part # D8RTC http://www.sparkplugcrossreference.co.uk/1231-ngk/1247-chinese-brands/d8rtc-d8rtc-d8rtc.html Clutch adjustment should start from the motor end
update - correct plug is ngk iridium cr9eix.look at ebay, i got mine out of the states but that was before the dollar dropped.as i bought plugs for a number of bikes i think i got them for around 12 bucks.
Thanks for the replies! In the pdf manual i have its saying (rg6yc) which is a champion plug, cant find one so go get a "ngk iridium cr9eix" ? Just want to confirm as the plug is $23Aud. Is it true they dont last very long? If i was to get a standard plug can anyone recommend one?
they last a long time. in cars around 150 to 200 thousand kilometres.the money is worth it. fit and basically forget.get a multipack from the states and sell the left overs.ebay global. one place ships 4 for 12.95 postage and about 28 for the plugs.
cool, ill take your advice and get one today, will let you know how it goes.. and i think i just adjusted my clutch properly myself! thanks guys Just noticed your in Newy, Im in Coffs Harbour.. Mind if i ask you a few more questions? Does the bike have an oil filter? Do you know where to get a new airfilter that fits? Is you megelli really loud but appear to be the stock pipe? Id like to quieten it down a bit but not at the expense of losing any HP
muffler is loud as standard but meets the decibel test. oil filter is a re usable one held in by 2 6mm nuts on lower right hand side near clutch cover. to access remove lower rhs fairing. wash in petrol and put back in. some models had nylon mesh and some stainless steel mesh. cannot buy replacements so treat with care.
Thanks, i grabbed the plug today, was $23 didnt want to wait. will suss out the oil filter next time i take the fairing off. its a bit of a choir feel like ive done it 10 times already, the adjustment i made on the clutch seemed to go back to grabbbing late again as soon as i started riding. might have to get someone to take a look at it.
air filter is foam. wash in kerosene and ring out and refit.to get more power leave the lid of the airbox off.
