You can certainly look there but we don't know exactly either. I am dropping some Spade intake cams in my 1987 VT250F2H which was basically a VTR250 with two front rotors and claimed 43PS. I can tell you it doesn't have 43PS at all :(

Japanese horses (like the people) are a little bit shorter than Aussie horses (so need more of them). Some may have also escaped over the years.

I did a few small things yesterday on this one (as well as the Across).
I fitted up my new standard Muffler... and typical... one of the PO (Bike or muffler) cut the pipe off short.
I am guessing the bike PO as everything on this thing is done rough as guts..
So I will need to have an extension welded on... might end up taking the complete exhaust off... measuring what needs to be done and having it done properly so I can effectively have a slip-on... I will want something with a little better sound once it is registered :)
I disconnected all the wiring to the rear lights and routed them where they originally were meant to go... and surprisingly.. now the seat locks down easily and is level...
The last little job was to install the standard indicators... rears were easy... the fronts were made more challenging by the actions of the butchers who had the bike before... grrr.
There are tabs on the headlight bracket that are meant to have tapped holes so when you slip the indictor on you do up a screw from underneath and it is all snug and secure...until they decided that LED's were better and bent them down 90 degrees and drilled them out so the LED would go on...
I considered getting the Mig out and tacking some nuts on... but so little room to work with... then I went looking for my Sikaflex... damn.. I couldn't find it... but I did find my hot glue gun...:)
So I plugged it in... and played plenty of glue around the nuts (either side.... not mine) and left them to dry...
I wandered out last night and checked them and they seem solid enough to hold the nuts until I can tighten up the screws... hopefully that will work... I don't think it will need much for rego after that.

A couple of pics. She is outside for a wash.
I really don't like the Matt black. It will have to go eventually.

And this is what was masquerading as a muffler.

I dont mind that matt black with the red but up close maybe a different story. That muffler reminds me of my first zxr exhaust, where the metal baffle had broken into 4 pieces, sounded mad but shot out sparks for 3 months until everything blew out the pipe except the heat shielding

Haha.. yep.. looks really good in the pictures... different story up close... same with the red frame... it looks like it was originally Silver but as the colour id label is gone it is hard to tell... I am not sure if Honda would be able to tell me the original colours from the VIN...or if they even would if they could...

Yep.. they have painted the rear subframe the same colour as the frame (red), poorly I might add.. lol
No label there, I hoped they might have painted over it and I could clean it up but... no.
Then they butchered the seat and the rear fairing... and I have no idea why they would even do it...
Not to mention the worst job ever in recovering a seat...

Can't complain about the service.... this turned this morning. I ordered it on Jan 5th with an expected eta of 23 Jan from China.

Looks to be pretty good quality too. Time will tell though
