Well, seeing as though I have sold all my bikes, I thought it was high time to source a new long term project. i wanted something different, almots unique and Gumtree didnt let me down, today I purchased a 1984 kawasaki KR250. If you dont know the bike then check out kr250.org, heaps of good info on these 2 strokers So how bad is it... well the previous owners stripped the engine in 1991, put all the parts in a box and left it. This is a going to be a long term fixer upper, but Im quite excited about it.
As if I hadn't had enough joy in one day at the Laverda Concours, this afternoon got a call from Chris to say he was on his way over to pick me up so we could collect our new project bike. When we arrived, the covers came off the bike and I was agreeably surprised to find a nice looking machine minus the engine. Thought the engine must be in the garage, spotted an old milk crate full of of engine parts (OMG). Think we have got our work cut out with this one!! One conciliation, it came with a manual, Happy days.
found a vid on kr250.org, interesting engine configuration, 2 counter rotating crankshafts :icon_scratch: http://youtu.be/mie13BhD3H8
Well, I ended up selling this bike, it's packed and is on its way to tassie , the new owner has a few 2 strokes including a rough kr250 , he has a few spares now
