I have almost finished doing a rebuild on this great little bike, Kawasaki GPZ250R 1986. I take on these projects as a hobby & to keep the brain active, as well as learning about different bikes. This 250 has surprised me with its performance, going way better than I imagined, the acceleration & speed is very good indeed & would certainly keep up with bigger bikes of that era, work done includes changed the starter solenide, starter motor, new front & rear tyres, changed carburator had them cleaned & inspected so have a spare if needed, new battery, new spark plugs, repainted faded seat. The bike is being sold unregistered & without roadworthy certificate. Still needs right hand side mirror, throttle & clutch adjusted the bike is eligible for club permit reg which is a very low cost way of being able to have a number of bikes on the road. Regretful sale as it is unfinished bike is located in Cranbourne $1500 firm
