Hi guys and gals I bought a barn find CBR 250 and a load of spares for next to nothing and I am going to attempt to build a working bike from all the spares. I will appreciate all help I can get.
I tackled the carbs first, a nice challenge considering it was the habitat of a button spider and a moth respectively.

    As it stands now..

After the clean, I am quite proud even if I say so myself:

The spares I got with the bike included a set of very very very dirty carbs, a rolling chassis, a complete engine, a semi dismantled engine, fairings(shoddy state), and a variety of loose spares.

I started with the fairings today, the head fairing was done for but I refused to throw it out and I am busy fixing it now, today I plastic welded all the pieces together.

It looks rough but I am going to sand it down some and I'm putting fibreglass on the inside to keep it strong. The other fairings are in a way better condition than this one.

I did some inspecting and i need a fuel pump,my research says the mc19 has one and i need a new ignition and some odds and ends like throtttle cable and water hose clamps and stuff.
I wish my build can end up like one of yours @Murdo all of your builds come out mint.

Hi guys it's been a while since an update because I'm in the middle of my exams. I have filled out dents in the tank and fixed up the fairings, they still need some work but its minor I sprayed primer to see where there is still faults. Bike is coming along nicely. Quick question will FZR250 3LN coil packs work on this bike my original coils are done for and a secondhand set will set me back R900-00 which is like 84 Australian dollars if I'm not mistaken.
Any way here is the bike as she stands now:

Coil reading's look very close from the CBR to FZR
    CBR coil reading's are between 2.52 Ω and 3.06 Ω on the primary side, and between 11.7k Ω and 14.3k Ω on the secondary's

So theoretically it would work albeit not perfectly but for the interim it will do.
