hey guys, just after some info on the collant temp sensor, i need to know ruffly what the ohms should be of the temp sensor to be able to calibrate it and see if its working as it should within the tuning software. i know the ohms at 80c are supposed to be 52ohms and at 100c its 27ohms. just wondering what it would be at example 20c or 15c.
Not sure if this help's In the Manual it has at the bottom of the page (15-17 Electrical System) on the left Rising temperature from off to on at 96° C to 100° C Falling temperature from on to off above 91° C On at less than .5 Ω Off at more than 1M Ω
thats for the fan switch, not the temp sensor. unfortunately the supplemental manual has bugger all info, for the main manual that the sup is based off of is the ex250E model found at this page http://service.tanga-moteurs.ro/data/KAWASAKI NINJA 250 86 EX250 E1-2 SM.pdf thats where i got the stats i have. but thanks my67xr i've gone through 2 manuals online that has only the 2 ohms measurements but those are for when the engine are hot, was hoping to find what the ohms would be when cold, and i dont have an meter at the moment, mine decided to die.
Sorry bout that, you'll have to pick up a new Multimeter and an Infared Thermometer $15 delivered off ebay https://www.bunnings.com.au/click-digital-multimeter_p4420326
I don't know if you have this service manual, but it's for the injected EX250K8F It mention's testing the water temp sensor resistance but i couldn't find it there http://mototh.com/files/kawasaki/Ninja_250R/Kawasaki_Ninja_250R_FI-English.pdf
its there under 16-63 but the sensor its got is the new 2 plug and the ohms are slightly different from the 1 pin one when sitting at 80c. i'll have to buy one when she's not looking i'll be going by whats in the book and see if it works, otherwise i'll have to wait till after the 14th. as far as i'm aware the sensors good just need the cold ohms unless the microsquirt can figure it out once i input the other 2 figures. and if the sensor is not sitting right by the book then buy a new sensor. the banks not gonna be happy ;P
i'm safely saying this and sticking by it.. i'm not touching a grey import again.... going back to hunting for manuals and info.... ofcause the sup manual doesnt cover my year model of bike... the 1995 zzr250 is an ex250 H-6 which the manual is only in japanese... lucky enough some of the H-1 to H-4 is similar.. the H5 and H7 have a 2 pin coolant temp sensor where 1-4 and 6 have a single pin...... oh the fun we do have...
