Morning all I was told i could find someone here that can help me with a QRide form..?? Been riding for years but only just able to get my hands on a cbr250 To learn probably on the road Cheers Josh
I have had my RE license for 5yrs now and just don't have the time to do these two-day course thst Qride have Id rather not risk my plate anymore Ive got a 250rr lams approved bike with rego, just not the correct title on my license Ive got the coin
Mar7inez13 I assume you mean you have an RE learners licence and want to get an RE provisional licence without doing Q-ride 2 day course. There are two alternative options to 2 day courses: 1. Do a 1 day experienced rider course with a Q-ride company. Designed for people who have had a lot of experience riding dirt bikes etc. https://hart.securewebsite.com.au/c...nce/1-day-q-ride-training-and-assessment.html 2. If you live more than 100km's away from a Q-ride center you can do a Q-safe test at a transport and motoring service centre. There is no longer an option of NOT doing a Q-ride test aka because you have experience. This is a safety initiative from the QLD gov. If you have a RE learners license check from 5 years ago make sure it hasn't expired. Good luck
Thank you for that info Very helpful That raises another question... You said there is RE learner's And RE provisional On my license it is RE class P..?? Is this saying I already have my P's for the bike..??
Just keep in mind I've never seen a QLD license in person, but my NSW says R P2 (which is rider, provisional 2 (green p's) and C LRN which is car learners, with the expiry date of my car L's. Here an R P2 license is valid for 30 months, giving you 6 months before you need renewal if for some reason you can't/don't want to go unrestricted.
It's a bit confusing on their website https://www.qld.gov.au/transport/licensing/motorcycles/getting/upgrading/ There's new rule's from october too Upcoming changes From October 2016 the time you need to hold a class RE learner licence is changing. If you get your class RE learner licence from October 2016, you will need to hold your class RE learner licence for at least 3 months (or at least 1 year if you were exempt from the Q-Ride pre-learner course) before you can enrol in a Q-Ride course or take the Q-SAFE test. If you already hold a class RE learner licence before October 2016, the old rules will continue to apply to you. The new class RE learner licence period aims to encourage new riders to practice the skills they learn in the pre-learner course, and encourage new riders to gain supervised riding experience before progressing to a class RE licence and riding unaccompanied. In SA i have an RD licence, R Date for my learner's, i only have that for 2 year's max, if i dont go for my P's before then i need to resit for my L's
